In 1974, video art pioneer Nam June Paik created TV Buddha, where a statue of the Buddha meditates to his own image by way of a closed-circuit camera feed into a television.
In 2020, with the onset of COVID-19, thousands of people around the world began gathering in front of computer screens, meditating to their own image in online sanghas powered by Zoom, Skype, and the like.
This project pays homage to Nam June Paik's work and documents a meditation journey.
